Marcus Borg - Professor Borg argues that the biblical language about Jesus refers to two different realities: the Jesus of history and what Jesus became after the Easter event in the experience of the Christian community. The pre-Easter Jesus is a material being. The post-Easter Jesus is "spiritual" and non-material, but real. The pre-Easter Jesus is human. The post-Easter Jesus is divine. The central question of his address is to explain how the Christian community got from one to the other.
