Mairead Corrigan Maguire, winner of several peace prizes, including the Nobel Peace Prize in 1977 gives an impassioned speech on the insanity of the arms race in the world today. She deplores that while millions of people are dying from hunger all over the world, we spend billions of dollars in nuclear weapons and other armaments. She advocates nonviolence, an end to all wars, and citizen participation in working towards disarmament.
