Although oceans cover 70% of our planet, their organisms and ecosystems are far less well known than those on land. There is growing concern among scientists about the health of the oceans and the loss of diversity among marine species worldwide.
Join researchers from the Center for Marine Biodiversity and Conservation (CMBC) at Scripps as they lead investigations to understand the complex ways marine organisms interact with one another, with their enviroment, and with humans. As scientists learn more, they are finding better ways to address the threats faced by ocean life through education, communication, and application of strategies to promote conservation of biodiversity.
