This program presents some of the common fears and misconceptions seniors have about exercising as they grow older. An upbeat senior citizen host helps reverse the negative attitudes many older people have about exercise, with the help of a leading geriatrician in the field, Dr. Maria Fiatrone. The program reinforces current research which shows that what we think of as the natural decline of the body that comes with aging may actually be preventable, and in many cases, reversible with regular exercise. The program concludes with active seniors demonstrating the benefits exercise has brought into their lives.
