This set of educational materials traces artistic and cultural contributions to history and contemporary life in this country by people of Latin American heritage. The collections of the National Museum of American Art, from craft traditions in the Southwest to contemporary Cuban American and Puerto Rican art, provide the basis for instructional materials focusing on selected aspects of Latino experience in the United States. Artists and communities from different regions of the United States are explored in a video and a study guide demonstrating the rich diversity among individual Latino groups.
