The works of June Wayne embody her lifelong interest in science and scientific discovery. Her prints, paintings, and drawings are inspired by sources as varied as the sounds of outer space as recorded by Voyager II; the sense of motion experienced while driving through Los Angeles's Third Street tunnel; and genetically engineered "knockout" mice, whose lack of a specific gene makes them relentlessly aggressive towards their fellow males. Wayne, who founded the renowned Tamarind Lithography Workshop in Hollywood in 1960, travels to New York in this program to work on a new group of prints with master printer Judith Solodkin.
