Group Study Room Policies
Renewal
Rooms may be renewed based on availability.
Reservations
- 15 minute grace period - if a reserved room is not picked up after 15 minutes of the beginning time, it can be cancelled and given to another patron
- To allow other patrons access, groups are encouraged not to make back-to-back advance reservations that extend room use beyond 3 hours (undergraduates and staff) or 6 hours (faculty and graduate students).
- Information about room reservations is confidential and may not be shared with anyone but the person who made the reservation.
- Patrons who occupy a study room beyond the reserved time will be asked to leave the room to accommodate the next reservation. The library may ask any occupant to leave a study room if complaints are received. Failure to leave a study room when requested by library staff may result in loss of the privilege to use study rooms, a referral to the Student Conduct office, or a referral to campus Public Safety.
Personal Property
The library is not responsible for personal property left in study rooms. If a patron leaves behind personal property in a study room, library staff may remove it to accommodate the next reservation.
