12 November 1963
Dear Linus,
You once mentioned to me that you and yours were the importers of a Japanese type transistor set of the larger type including FM. I would certainly appreciate having one of these and if you are coming to Europe ask you to bring me one. I have recently found myself in situations away from the basic home sound unit a good deal: doing work and so forth when I would like very much to be able to listen to music. A set such as that one you had would be just the ticket.
Also, if they are still around could you please pick off for me the basic dimensions of those three wheeled pedal helicopters that you had in 1958? I want to make one for Thomas and it would be some help to know the dimensions, wheel base, distance from seat to pedals, pedals to front axle and so forth. Do not spend much time on it.
I hope you are well and carrying on. I have been very depressed for several weeks and now have my psychosomatic sinusitis in good strength, but seem to be carrying on more or less. Our house is going well, still more torn apart than put together but I think the structural work will be finished next week and we can get on with the roof and the front exterior. I think my major alterations will look very good.
Thank you for your help.
With love from,
