Dear Linus:
Under separate cover I have sent you a copy of my book "No More War!" I don't know yet how it is going to come out, so far as public reaction goes. I have seen only one review, in the Pasadena Star News. It was highly favorable.
I have taped some radio programs about it, and am to appear at a book store in Westwood. Other than that, there is nothing that I have done in the way of promotion.
Dick Lippman told me that you might be passing through Southern California early in September. I hope that you will be able to see Linda and Crellin and their families. Linda and her two babies have been there living in our house this summer while Crellin and his family occupy their house in Sierra Madre. There is plenty of room in our house, especially since Mamma and I will be in Europe at that time.
I hope that we shall get to see you and Anita-I wish that you would come and visit us in Pasadena again. It is such a long time since we have seen you.
Perhaps we can see you in Europe. We leave at midnight on Saturday, 24 August, and are to be at Valadalen in northern Sweden until 31 August, when we go to London. We stay in the British Isles until 16 or 17 September-we shall be with Peter. We are proposing to rent a car and to drive to Wales, in order that we may talk with Bertrand Russell. Then we shall go to a conference on inorganic chemistry in Dublin, probably being there from about 8 to 13 September. I have a speech to give in London on 15 September, I may make a broadcast about my book on 14 September. On 17, perhaps 16 September we fly to Austria, spending two or three days in Kitzdühef, and two days in Vienna. We return to London from Vienna on 22 September-I am to speak at a big meeting that night. Then we go to Essen, Germany, on 24 or 25 September, to Trondheim and Oslo in Norway from 27 to 1 October, flying home from Copenhagen then. Also, we are making an eastern trip beginning 8 October and ending about 17 October. We have an eastern Trip scheduled for the middle of November too.
With much love,
Linus Pauling,rh
