11 June 1958
Dear Linus:
It has taken me some time to get the National Science Foundation to take action about the unsatisfactory sound tracks.
Now I have a letter from Mr. William E. Morrell, Assistant Program Director for Summer Institutes, National Science Foundation, Washington 25, D.C., asking that the reels be returned to him. He says that he will replace them with better ones.
Would you send the three reels that you have directly to him? I shall ask him to send a set directly back to you.
We have been getting along fine. Mama and I have been pretty busy, having made several trips east, and we shall go back to Boston, New York, Yellow Springs, and Pittsburgh next week. I am giving three talks for the Committee on a Sane Nuclear Policy, and also giving some lectures at Antioch College, including the commencement address.
Linda got along fine with her babies. They were pretty big-6 pounds and 8 ounces. They are in excellent shape. Barclay leaves in three days, for the mountains in New Mexico. He has to take charge of the geology summer field trip again this year, and later in the summer he will be up on the glacier again.
My new book, No More War!, will be available before long -- I am having a copy sent to you. Dodd, Mead and Company are publishing it.
Much love to you and Anita and the children.
