Dear Linda,
I hope you have not been working too hard and that all is going well.
Alex was around for a while. Sid has stayed with us some. He is now in Paris. We went
to Cambridge for a party, stayed at the Cricks, though Odile was away. The Dunitz's leave
Friday, sadly enough. Leslie will be back next week. Alice is in Africa. You probably have
seen him.
I am sending your books to you.
I am sorry not to be able to come thank you for the invitation from Mr. and Mrs Pauling
but the ticket enclosed fell out and was lost so we cannot come. It is a shame.
Do you have a house? I think Sid has arranged us a washing machine.
Richenda is staying with us. It is a little trying. She is having a little trouble, poor girl.
Thomas is lovely and toothed and big and fat and beautiful.
Julia is thin. I am trying to fatten her.
Love hugs and kisses from
(XXXOOO)google! Peter
