Goudsmit to LP RE: Says that he doesn't not want to sign the Appeal because he thinks that the scientific evidence about the dangers of fallout are being exaggerated and may be even considered scare tactics which will only defeat the aim of the Appeal. Explains that he thinks moral, economic, historical arguments should be made against nuclear war instead. Says that even though he thinks LP and his signatories are in the wrong, the Appeal may still have a positive effect. Handwritten note indicates the letter was answered.
