I thank you for your letter of 5 December and the accompanying reprint.
Dr. Allen in our laboratories is now making a study of the amino acid composition of hemoglobin of patients with oligophrenis phenylpyruvica. So far he has not found any evidence for significant abnormality. We shall send you a reprint when the work is completed, which will not be for some months.
