Dear Mamma,
We shall move Friday to this flat, which I have not yet seen, but I am sure it is quite nice. Probably is not too delicately furnished.
We had a fine trip over, flying direct from Winnepeg to Copenhagen. We stayed one day in Copenhagen, and bought some stainless steel. It is not Gense's Facette, but some designed by a Dane named Kay Bøjensen and made in Sweden. It is much better finished than Facette, and more comfortable to hold. I had to pay duty on it bringing it into this country, but I was so relieved at not being given the third degree by the immigration people that I did not care.
Would you please write a cheque for $12.50 to The University of Chicago Press and send it with this enclosed letter and card to the address on the letter? $18.00 to Scientific American and send it with this enclosed letter to the address shown for Scientific American?
I am sending you under separate cover the publications for the Rover manufactured Land Rover, which appears to me to be an excellent car. It is very well constructed, I am sure its frame, which is a box section, is much sturdier than the American Willys Jeep. It has doors that can be lifted off, it holds more, it goes faster. It suffers for your purpose only that its engine is smaller than the Jeep's engine and therefore probably works harder, and that spare parts would probably have to be ordered and flown from England. There is a dealer in California, but he is worthless I expect.

- Letter from Ricardo Ferreira to LP RE: Justifies his earlier letter by clarifying that his bond type is based on two assumptions about electronegativity and states that the principle he used is valid and is justified by the idea of covalent bonds.
