1 Dec 1956
Dear Daddy,
We are due to arrive at Los Angeles airport at 10:05 a.m. on Saturday Dec. 15th via SK 931 from Copenhagen. My last letter which said p.m. was incorrect.
I am rather angry, as I was misinformed & misunderstood the fare structure, & the total
cost will be $1400. The fares have been changed in such a way that it is now more expensive
than it was. The saving Tourist [does?] via New York would be $75, but I do not relish the
journey that way.
I hope my plan to be from Dec 15th to Jan 15th with you is acceptable to you.
Julia is so excited by the prospect that I feel unable to cancel the plan because of my error
in calculating the cost. It is certainly annoying though.
I am working both on the myoglobin & the inorganic work, and there is a great deal to
do.
Love from
Peter
H. Mark sends his greetings.

Pencil note in lower left corner reads, "LP. I returned his card saying you would autograph book." [Filed under LP Correspondence: (K: Correspondence, 1956), #200.21]
