Dear Bea:
We have decided to stay in Tokyo until 11 March, taking PAA 822 then to Los Angeles, arriving 6:30 AM Saturday 12 March. I have written Holmes, asking that he meet us.
I'm very sorry that Carraro had to return to Brazil, and I hope that nothing else untoward has occurred.
Mitzushima [sp?] sends his regards to you - as does also Bongsadadt. Bangkok was fun, but nothing compared with Japan. I am dashing this note to you off before starting out for a Geisha-girl party, being thrown by Asahi (the newspaper that sponsored my public address this afternoon).
Love to Oliver.
Linus
The Bookstore has about two hundred copies of Dr. Noyes' "Chemistry of Solutions" on hand, and would be willing to sell any number to you for twenty-five cents each. This looks like a bargain to me.
I have not run across Lipscomb yet; and I shall let you know when I get some news about him.
I extend my congratulations to you on the birth of your little girl.
Sincerely yours,
Linus Pauling
