  Dear Fred:

  Thanks for the extra material. I shall make use of it, but I think that there is no need for you to do any more work now.

  I am not sure how things are going to turn out. I have only this week to work on the book, before we start for Stockholm - and then we are going on around the world. It is not yet clear whether I can get the revision finished during this week, but I am going to try.

  Ava Helen and I were sorry not to see your boy Jim in Princeton. I had hoped that he would speak to me after one of my lectures, but he did not do so. I had thought that I would try to hunt him up, but it turned out that there were too many demands on my time.

  Let me thank you again for the great help that you have given me in this job.
