Dearest Mamma,
I was very pleased and still am to get a letter from you.
No, I have not bought a dinner jacket, but I guess I shall. A three piece s b dinner jacket
so about 33, about $90. A Two piece d. b. is 2 less. A white dinner jacket db or sb is about
17. or $48. These are all made in one of the better Cambridge Tailors. I think I might buy a
dinner jacket here, I thought double breasted, and not a white jacket, which while very nice, is a
bit too expensive for me now. There is a 4 week delivery, so I had better decide soon. You
might advise me soon, please. I am 39" around chest & 33" around waist. I think I would rather
get a new one rather than Papa's old one. A white one would be very nice. I really do not know
what the cost of ready made stuff is here. Well I shall think seriously about getting a black d.b.
dinner suit, & you can advise me.
