13 April 1953
Dear Parents,
I am sorry not to write sooner. I have been gone a few days to Paris where it is warm &
the trees are in bloom and I could not write or work.
Thank you Daddy for your letter & the cheques. I shall give Linda the one.
They are still away, presumably in Spain. I still think this trip is good, though Linda
knows anyway what she is doing. I really cannot say anymore until they return, I suppose at the
beginning of next week.
I must work very hard. I met a friend of yours Maria named Steven, a physicist. He
folkdanced with you.
I am still searching a little for a place to live next year.
A big package has come from Elfriede. It's addressed to Linda. I am glad the book is
going so well. I received a letter from the girl I escorted to the Ball at Luciafest in Stockholm
and she uses it and seems to pass her exams by reading it.
I received a letter from Linus and am glad he is still kicking. I was beginning to worry.
I shall write when Linda returns.
Much love,
Peter
