- Letter from LP to Albert Noyes, Jr., Editor, Journal of the American Chemical Society, RE: LP met Dr. Fajans at a reception in New York and Fajans was very angry at LP because of the report that he rendered
for Noyes about Fajan’s article. Reminds Noyes that referee comments are to be kept confidential and tells him that Fajans
accidentally received a letter signed by LP about the article that he submitted for publication. LP says that his report was
very frank, rather than phrasing remarks politely as he would have done if speaking with Fajans.
