  • Letter from Dr. Luther P. Eisenhart, Executive Officer, American Philosophical Society, to LP, RE: Invites him to attend the Autumn General Meetings of the society. Tells him where and when they will be held and what will happen at this year’s meeting. Explains that hotel rooms will be paid for by the society. Includes a card inviting him to RSVP and to stay at the Benjamin Franklin and a card notifying members of a proposed amendment to the by-laws of the society. Handwritten note on card explains that the portion to RSVP was returned on 10/1/57 and reservations have been made for November 7-10.
