theWood and McCarran Bills. Suggests that they jointly initiate a letter to several hundred prominent Americans, asking them
to sign a letter that will be sent to President Truman urging him to veto the bills. States that Professor Robert Morss Lovett
and Bishop W. J. Walls, and he have prepared the enclosed statement and cover letter. Asks LP to sign his name as one of the
initiators of the letter. Gives the names of a few other people that they are asking to sign as an initiator. Asks LP to
