Professor George Scatchard
Department of Chemistry
Massachusetts Institute of Technology
Cambridge 39, Massachusetts
Dear George:
I am answering your letter of June 17, which I found awaiting me on my return to Pasadena from and eastern trip.
In answer to your question I would say that we are not carrying on any further studies of Oxypolygelatin.
Because the supply of Oxypolyglelatin available to us has become low, Don Baxter, Inc. is planning to make another large batch, under the supervision of Professor Campbell.
The only other source of Oxypolygelatin that I know about is the Knox Gelatin Company. Dr. Tourtelotte has been interested in Oxypolygelatin and has supervised the manufacture of the material. Professor Campbell tells me that their product is of good quality.
Please let me know if there is anything more that we can do for you.
Sincerely yours,
Linus Pauling:W
