Dearest love:
Yesterday was only mildly interesting - haven't seen much of Florida yet, but hope to go an auto ride or boat ride today. It rained
st of yesterday, thundershowers, some very heavy, sunshine between. I went walking in the
, to buy some shirts, and was caught a shower and dampened. I had ch
with the President of the University, some trustees. It is obvious the
Florida is a pretty backward place. I stayed in bed most of the afternoon. The banquet was not bad - I spoke, and then Dale Carnegie, on "Enthusiasm". He said that my talk was the best he had ever heard - that he understood everything while I was talking, and so on! Today, so far, is a beautiful clear day.
Much love from
Paddy
