I am very pleased and honored to have been elected an Honorary Fellow of the Indian Academy of Sciences, and I express my appreciation to you and your colleagues in the Indian Academy of Sciences.
I am glad to accept the Honorary Fellowship in the Academy. It will be useful to me to have the Proceedings and other publications of the Academy close at hand. I read the copies in our library from time to time, and I shall look forward to having this easier contact with the progress of scientific research in India.
