Dear Miss Rona:
I was interested to receive your letter of January 26, which arrived while I was on an eastern trip. I am sorry to say that I feel that there is nothing that I can do about the matter mentioned in your letter. My own work is no longer in the field of basic physics. I have, however, been interested to follow the work which Professor Ehrenhaft has been doing, and a few years ago I talked with him about it, in Chicago. It seemed to me then, and still seems to me, that the experiments did not permit the unambiguous interpretation to be made which is mentioned in your letter. I am sorry to say, however, that the other work that I am carrying on prevents me from looking further into the matter.
Sincerely yours,
Linus Pauling
