Professor Norris W. Rakestraw
Department of Chemistry
Brown University
Providence, Rhode Island
Dear Professor Rakestraw:
I do not know of any serious reason why the California Institute of Technology should not begin to operate on a year-round basis for all classes if, after additional consideration, this seems the desirable thing to do. It is my opinion that it might well be wise for this step to be taken.
Sincerely yours,
Linus Pauling
