Dr. Goudsmit and I are now preparing the statements
of the purpose and scope of our book which you requested. In
your letter of January 31, 1930, and will send them to you
shortly.
I am including with this letter copy for a short Appendix IV. If this can be set up without causing inconvenience or appreciable delay, we would be pleased, for the material contained should be useful for the new developments In spectroscopy. If it is too late, however, this appendix can be omitted without harm.
