Mr. J. A. Hyland,
McGraw-Hill Book Co.,
370 Seventh Ave.,
New York City, N. Y.
Dear Mr. Hyland,
I am returning herewith corrected galley 80, together with copy for Appendix II to follow it. I am looking forward to receiving second galleys 69-79 and page proof soon, and assure you that I shall correct and return then at once. We realize that the delays have been occasioned by us; we felt, however, that the new material deserved to be included in the book despite this.
Yours truly,
LP/B
- Letter from LP to Mr. James S. Thompson, Vice President, McGraw Hill Book Co., RE: LP explains that Mr. Hyland had told him that the publication of the book would be delayed due to the extensive changes he and Professor Goudsmit made to the first galleys. LP requests that at least Chapters III, IV and V of the book be printed in a sufficient number of page proofs because he had planned to review these chapter during a seminar from February 1 to March 15.
