Finding magazines and newspapers

OSU Libraries Newspaper Collection

If you know the title of the magazine or newspaper

  • Search for the title in the OSU Libraries catalog. Both newspapers and magazines are called "Journals" in the library catalog, so limit your search to Journals, and then search for the magazine or newspaper you want by searching under Journal Title.
  • From your result list, click on the title of the magazine or newspaper you want to see the full record. The catalog record will tell you if OSU has electronic or print access (or both) and which years are available.
  • Electronic subscriptions can be accessed by clicking the link in the OSU library catalog record.

Finding print magazines in the Valley Library

  • Older issues are shelved in the regular stacks, with the books on each floor.

Finding print newspapers in the Valley Library

  • The most recent issues of most print newspapers are shelved by title in the Newspaper Reading room located on the Main (2nd) floor of the Valley Library.
