PubMed Central Article Deposit

The Center for Digital Scholarship and Services provides a PubMed Central (PMC) article deposit service for OSU authors to help with NIH public access policy compliance. The Center will investigate whether the journal in which an article is published takes care of the deposit on the author’s behalf. If not, the Center will deposit the article to ScholarsArchive@OSU in accordance with the OSU open access policy and to PubMed Central via the NIH Manuscript Submission form.

As of April 7, 2008, researchers receiving grant money from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) must submit copies of their resulting research papers to PMC when those papers are accepted for publication in a journal. For non-competing continuation grant awards with a start date of July 1, 2013 or beyond, NIH will delay processing of an award if publications arising from it are not in compliance with the NIH public access policy.
