Kindles
OSU faculty, staff and students may check out kindles for 2 weeks
The Valley Library has 5 Keyboard 3G and Second-Generation Kindles (6 in.) and one (large-format) Kindle DX Kindle DX. Each Kindle comes with our entire Kindle eBook library preloaded. In addition, you can request up to two more titles from Amazon's Kindle store.
Policies
- 2-week checkout. No renewals.
- Currently available only to OSU faculty, staff and students.
- We can’t put our Kindle books on your personal Kindle because of Amazon restrictions.
What is the Kindle?
The Kindle is a gadget, created by Amazon, that allows you to read e-books and other digital media. It's about the size of a paperback book and holds up to 1,500 titles. It uses an innovative "electronic paper" display that is easy to read and easy on the gadget's battery life.
