firstsearch databases :: search mechanics

There are three search screens for First Search databases; only basic and advanced search screen will be shown here.

This is a keyword search operation. You start a search by typing in words in different fields such keyword, author or title. The icon explains what are the search indexes (author, title etc.) and how to use them.

This is an interactive module, you can practice searching in FIrstSearch database by clicking the link "Link to Firstsearch Database" next to the + sign, and a pop up window will appear, you can ajust its size, so that you can read the instruction and practice searching the database at the same time.
