Self-Service Copiers
Self-service copiers are located in the Copy Center on the main (2nd) floor and on each floor (except the 4th floor) of the Valley Library. You may pay for copies by OSU ID card, OSU convenience card, or by using the cash copiers. Book copiers are especially designed to make book copying easy and to protect the collection, and are located on the 1st, 2nd (Copy Center) and 3rd (Archives) floors. eScan
There are copiers for scanning to email (called eScan), located in the Copy Center. These copiers allow you to scan documents in JPG (single page only), PDF, TIFF (Group 4 2D) or TIFF Class F (Group 3 1D) formats, and send them to your email address. Your mailbox will need to have sufficient storage space for your documents or they will be lost when sent. There is no charge for the service at this time.
Drop Off Service
Drop off service is provided at Circulation for next day copies. OSU Students and faculty may use their personal OSU or department accounts. If you wish to pay with cash (for non-OSU patrons), please bring exact change, as we do not have change in the library. VISA and MasterCard are also accepted for orders of at least $5.00. If you need assistance with the equipment, the Information desk can help.
Copying with ID Cards or Convenience Cards
Students, faculty and staff may add value to their ID card at the OSU Card Cash/Add Value terminal in the Copy Center. Your card may then be used for library copying and printing, and for food items at Java II (first floor) and the campus food courts. The copy value on your OSU ID is separate from your Housing & Dining food account.
Departmental cards (for copies only) may be obtained at the OSU ID center, Kerr Administration, Room B094, during regular business hours (Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm).
Patrons without an OSU ID card or convenience card may purchase a convenience card for $1.00 at the OSU ID center, Copy Center and at Circulation. You will need to add value to the card at the OSU Card Cash/Add Value terminal or online.
If you lose money in the OSU Card Cash/Add Value terminal, call the OSU ID Center at 737‒2493. The OSU ID Center can often adjust the card online. For problems with the OSU Card Cash/Add Value terminal, please contact the Information or Circulation.
Two cash copiers are located in the Copy Center and on the first floor. Coins, $1.00 & $5.00 bills are accepted. Copies are 10¢ each.
Color Copies
A high quality color copier, which produces excellent copies from photos or text, is located in the Copy Center. You may make letter size copies yourself, or have library staff make them for an additional fee. 11x17 or legal size copies require staff assistance and can be requested at Circulation to be available the next day. Color transparencies can be produced by Printing & Mailing.
Map Copies
Library staff can make black & white copies of maps for a fee. University Archives and Maps (third floor) has a large selection of maps for patron use. To place an order, bring the map(s) to Circulation. Copies can be picked up at Circulation the following day. Selected maps may also be checked out at Circulation.
