The Autzen Thomas John Electronic Classroom was created through donor funding to provide an enhanced electronic classroom for library related instruction for students. It may be used for other individual class sessions, presentations, or workshops when available.
The Autzen Classroom provides a hands-on setting with 24 networked PC student workstations, a Starboard interactive display and Robotel Classroom Control Hardware. This system allows the instructor to control all the computers in the classroom from the instructor's station, including projecting any student workstation to everyone. The PC workstation for the instructor projects to additional screens (on the west wall and the north south wall). If students share a PC workstation, there is seating for 48 students. There are traditional white boards for more informal discussions. An optional mobile Smartboard (interactive whiteboard) can also be requested for use in this room.
Location: 2nd floor of the Valley Library, room 2082
No food or drink is allowed in the Autzen Classroom.
