Group Study Room Reservations

April 10, 2006

The Valley Library is now offering all group study rooms on a reservation basis. Group study rooms are available for reservation by students, faculty or staff for a three hour period. Study rooms do not renew. Rooms must be reserved at least one day and up to two weeks in advance ...

  •           In person at the Circulation desk or
  •           By phone (737-7254)
  •           Email requests can not be accepted.

When leaving a message on the Circulation desk phone, please give the following information:

  •           Your name
  •           OSU ID number
  •           Number of people in your study group
  •           Date and time period you would like a room
  •           Phone number where you can be reached

Requests for study room reservations left by phone message cannot be considered confirmed. It is necessary to speak to a staff member in Circulation to know if a study room is available at the requested time.

Only one advance reservation is allowed per person per day. Patrons may check out rooms at other times in the same day, if all rooms are not reserved. Study rooms that have not been reserved will be available for last-minute reservations.

The reserved room may only be checked out to the person placing the request. Presentation of an OSU ID card is required for check-out.

If a patrons checks out a study room late, the due date will be adjusted to avoid a conflict with the next reservation time.

Circulation will hold rooms for 15 minutes beyond the reserved start time, after which the room will be made available to other patrons.

The schedule of study room reservations is confidential and may be viewed by staff only.

All of the study room regulations apply to reserved rooms.
