A Blackboard website is automatically created for every OSU course. Adding library content to your Blackboard sites is a convenient way to point students toward the library resources they need to find credible, scholarly information. Blackboard can also be used as a tool to help your students learn the research process. Below is just a taste of how you can use Blackboard to teach the research process--contact a librarian for more information.

The "library tab"

The library tab at the top of every Blackboard page links students directly to OSU Library resources.

External Links

The "external links" section, linked from the left-hand navigation pane, is a place to add links of your choosing. This is a great way to point students towards the best databases, relevant websites, citation guides, and research help for their specific assignments.

Discussion Board

For long, in-depth research assignments the Blackboard "discussion board" feature can be a great way to help students stay on track, work through the research process, and help one another.
