Finding Books

  1. Use the OSU online catalog to search by keyword, title, or author. To check out a book, get its call number from the search results page or the Availability tab on the book's page. The first letter of the call number indicates which floor it is on. Take the book to Circulation to check it out.
  2. If you cannot find a book in the catalog, try the Summit catalog. Summit indexes 35 academic libraries in Oregon and Washington. Books requested from Summit will be delivered to OSU in 3 working days.
  3. If your book is not in the OSU or SUMMIT catalogs, try OCLC - WorldCat or another catalog. Use the Interlibrary Loan service to request books not available at OSU or in Summit.

For help finding books, ask a librarian.
