New Exhibit on the Web
The University Archives staff recently completed an on-line version of an exhibit currently on display at the Cascades Branch Campus of Oregon State University, "90 Years of Learning: OSU in Central Oregon, 1911-2001." The exhibit highlights the many opportunities for learning that have been available over the years in the central Oregon area. It can be viewed at http://osulibrary.oregonstate.edu/archives/exhibits/Cascades/intro_text.html.
Photographs Linked on the Web
As you undoubtedly have noticed, there are photographs present on many of the Archives' web pages. A majority of the images come from the historical holdings for which we have an inventory on the web. Archives staff recently completed linking the inventory listings on the web to the actual image. If there is just one image available for a particular image number, the link says "View an image of this topic." However if there are several images available with the same number, there is a more extensive description of the image. The linking adds a new perspective to the collections on the web that include photographs. As new images and inventories are added to the web, they will also be linked wherever possible.
A good example of the links would be in the Harriet's Photograph Collection, as there are numerous images on the web pages from this vast collection.
