University Archives on OASIS

In September 2000, the University Archives began providing information about our collections in the University Libraries' online catalog, OASIS. These summary catalog records describe Archives materials at the collection level and include links to the complete finding aid on the Archives' World Wide Web site.

As of November 2001, 105 catalog records are available on OASIS, including records for 71 manuscript collections and 34 groups of institutional records. Searches can be limited to the Archives' catalog records by choosing the Keyword Search option. Click on the "View Entire Collection" box and, from that menu, choose "Archives."

The Archives' catalog records are also available through the Orbis Union Catalog, the unified library catalog of 20 universities and colleges in the Pacific Northwest, and OCLC (the Online Computer Library Center, Inc.), the international computer library network.

Catalog records will be added regularly, with the long-term goal of having records for all of the Archives collections available through OASIS, Orbis, and OCLC.
