150 Years Ago ... in 1847:
*Benton County was established.

125 Years Ago ... in 1872:
*Military science instruction began.

 

100 Years Ago ... in 1897:
*Thomas M. Gatch became OAC President

90 Years Ago ... in 1907:
*OAC began playing intercollegiate baseball.

 

75 Years Ago ... in 1922:
*OAC's radio station was licensed.

50 Years Ago ... in 1947:
*OSC Foundation was formed. 

 

45 Years Ago ... 1952:
*Benny the Beaver made his debut.

35 Years Ago ... in 1962:
*OSU competed in the GE College Bowl.
*A windstorm struck on Columbus Day.

 

25 Years Ago ... in 1972:
*Professor Harold Evans was elected to the National Academy of Sciences.
