Scope and Content Note
The
Extension Service Staff Newsletter is prepared by the Extension Service
administration for distribution to Extension staff members on the OSU campus
and at county offices throughout the state. It includes announcements of
upcoming events, policy and procedure changes, and staff news. An Extension
Service newsletter was first published in 1916 as the Extension News. Publications
of this "house organ" continued under various titles (Farm Bureau
News, Extension Service News, and Extension Review) until June 1925. In
the late 1970s, it was known as the Staff Chairmen's Newsletter.
Form of Materials
The more
recent issues of the newsletter (1977-1995) are only available in paper
form. Most of the earlier issues are available in both paper form and on
microfilm, with the exception of all issues of the Extension News (1916-1918)
and three issues of the Extension Review (Oct-Nov 1923 and August 1924)
which are only available on microfilm.
