Station Circular (PUB 6-21a)

1897-1954
0.35 cubic foot; 2 reels microfilm

Scope and Content Note

Station Circulars were prepared and distributed by the Oregon State College Agricultural Experiment Station. These publications address a variety of agricultural subjects; however, many pertain to horticultural and poultry topics. Two (nos. 8 and 18) were prepared for distribution to visitors to the farming demonstration train that toured central and eastern Oregon in 1910-1911. For several of the early circulars, two publications were issued with the same number or the circular consisted of two parts addressing different topics (e.g. nos. 2, 9, and 14). Circulars 71 and 72 were not published. Several of the circulars were reprinted and/or revised.

Form of Materials

Most of the Station Circulars are available in both paper form and on microfilm. However, there are several items that are only available in paper form and also several items that are only available on microfilm.

Historical Note

The Agricultural Experiment Station ceased publication of the Station Circular series in 1949. Several of the later circulars were reprinted through the early 1950s.

Related Materials

The Agricultural Experiment Station Records (RG 25) include materials pertaining to many of the research projects whose findings were published in the Station Circulars. The Station Circulars are also available in the Valley Library (call number S105 .E3).
