Scope and Content Note

Arranged into 6 series (see inventory). This collection includes minutes of general and executive committee meetings, lists of officers and members, application forms, and information about projects such as the dance for senior citizens and cookie sales. The bulk of the collection consists of eight scrapbooks from 1936-1961 containing clippings, correspondence, photographs and memorabilia documenting the organization's activities.

Historical Note

Talons is a service honorary society for sophomore women. Talon members are chosen from outstanding freshmen women on the basis of leadership,scholarship, cooperation, and school spririt. Talons was founded in 1933 after the local chapter of Spurs, a national service society, went out of existence.
