Historical Note
The Office Personnel Association was established at OSU in 1961. Originally known as the OSU Association of Educational Secretaries (an affiliate of the National Association of Educational Secretaries), its purpose was to formulate standards and principles for campus office personnel, to unite those similarly interested, and to act as an information clearinghouse. In 1977 the name of the organization was changed to the Office Personnel Association in order to better reflect the composition and purpose of the organization. It hosts guest speakers at its monthly meetings, sponsors workshops and seminars for its members, and awards scholarships to OSU students.
