About The Valley Library
The Valley Library, situated in the heart of the OSU main campus, offers a variety of individual and collaborative study spaces carefully designed to meet our students needs. We are open 24/5 during fall, winter, and spring terms, with reduced hours during summer term.
The Learning Commons includes large tables with comfy chairs, whiteboards and collaborative workstations equipped with monitors. Patrons can use one of 100+ computers to search research databases and journals, access email and the Web, and use productivity software. The Learning Commons is also home to the Computer Help Desk, where you can get “quick help” computer support for OSU faculty & students. The Student Multimedia Services desk provides multimedia support, equipment loans, poster and thesis printing.
Next door to the Learning Commons is the Collaborative Learning Center, where students can get help from peer tutors and GTAs from the College of Science, the Academic Success Center, the Writing Center, and Career Services.
In addition to books and course reserves, the circulation desk loans laptops, eReaders, lockers, headphones, monitor adaptors, calculators, whiteboard markers, and much more. We provide two self-checkout machines for speedy service.
