1. Disaster Plan Updates

Disaster Recovery Plan updates are progressing smoothly. A deadline of Sept. 1 has been set.

2. AED Purchase

Kerrie will present the AED purchase proposal to LAMP on Aug. 14.

3. Emergency Situation Tips

• Committee felt having a quick tips for emergency situations would be helpful
• Problem in the past of staff not finding out what the situation is before calling 911 - causes confusion and sometimes an unnecessary response by emergency personnel
• An example would be "Stay Calm, Assess Situation, Call 911" or "Be Calm, Assess, Call (if needed)"
• Bryan will check with the Red Cross site to see if they already have something created

4. New Membership

• Committee would welcome new membership if anyone is interested
• Bryan will include an offer in the Safety Week email

5. Safety Week Planning

• Safety Week has been approved by LAMP for the week of Sept. 10-14
• Susan, Kerrie and JoLynn will work on daily quizzes, tips and prizes
• Bryan will try and set the evacuation drill for Monday, Sept 10
• Bryan will try and set the CPR/AED/First Aid for Thursday, Sept 13
• No plans for fire extinguisher training
• Penny and Bryan will work on a public display
