1. Disaster Plan Review :
- Lorraine provided hard copies to Susan & Laurel for review
- Karen sent a reminder to check flashlights and first aid kits
- Need to revise 3rd floor layout - waiting for revision from Valery King (Bryan)
- App. G (checklists)
- General
- change to annual checklist
- what is "checking keys & locks" and "telephone operators desk"?
- Annual Building
- Bryan will combine the general and building checklists and send for review
- Bryan will make checklist in a yes - no format
- In-House Emergency Equipment
- what is "tape dispensers" used for?
- need to be more specific with items and locations
- flashlight checklist
- Karen will provide locations of flashlights
- Archives still needs to be incorporated into library plan
- Committee felt that emergency equipment location maps would be useful. Will wait for Lorraine comments.
2. OSU Emergency Procedures Manual - Library Section
- Need to revise building manager and add terms "E-Campus" & "Central Web Services"
- Laurel noted that emergency personnel expect library staff to tell them if a disabled person is waiting on a stairwell landing. Doesn't work well with current library procedures. Lorraine, can you check on this?
3. Staff Training
- Staff who attended CPR and first aid training were very glad it was offered
- CPR should be offered every year as well as fire extinguisher training
- Karen is working on a list of those that attended and who are now certified. Intended to be shared with all the library staff.
- Bryan is waiting to here from Campus Security on a staff-patron conflict workshop
4. Action Items
